Description
The album is dedicated to the Ukrainian Architectural Modernism (UAM) – the brightest trend in Ukrainian architecture of the first half of the 20th century. At that time, several hundred original buildings were erected on vast domestic and foreign territories, full of the bright pathos of the golden Ukrainian age. Unfortunately, most of them remained little known and undervalued by descendants during the “hundred years of solitude” and total anti-Ukrainianism. Therefore, the authors set themselves a difficult task: to find and collect together the works of the UAM scattered across Ukraine and the world (including those destroyed or rebuilt beyond recognition). The result of many years of research is presented in the album “Garden of Ukrainian Modernism”.
The priceless heritage of the UAM will be interesting for all fans of Ukrainian culture.
