Description

The book of poems “Мис доброї надії” (“Cape of Good Hope”) is about the feeling of home and the hope of finding home. The title has nothing to do with geographical location. Rather, it means a place of finding faith, hope and love, overcoming one’s fears, taking a step towards harmony, and learning to rejoice.
Some poems were written before the war, and some were written during war time. This is, in essence, one person’s story that may resonate with destinies and feelings of many people. People who lived ordinary lives, studied, loved, raised families. And then they had to find out what war is. This book is also an expression of my gratitude to God who always supports us and gives us hope. We are all standing on the threshold of the future, praying that it will be peaceful, that no one will die. We all stand on the Cape of Good Hope.
