Description
The reprint of Dmytro Bahalii’s fundamental work “History of Sloboda Ukraine” is carried out for the first time with the preservation of the text arrangement on lines and pages according to the original edition. The spelling is preserved in the reprint; punctuation marks are added if necessary; original illustrations are saved. Volodymyr Masliychuk wrote a foreword to the publication (Roman pagination, pp. IX – XXXI) and a commentary (Arabic pagination, pp. 311–375). For ease of use, indexes of names (1269 items) and geographical names (961 items) have been developed for the publication (pp. 376–415). Two geographical maps in the original edition were placed on stickers and are now presented on the endpapers.
